What is Chaos Digest?

Conceptually, Chaos Digest is the publication for the thinking fan of African football, written by someone who is driven to ask ‘why?’ and ‘how’, rather than just ‘what?’ and ‘when?’.

I’m Solace Chukwu, and for the last eight years, I have been reporting on and analyzing African football, with a focus on those who matter the most: the players and coaches. If you are looking for stuff about football politics, you will not find it here.

Why is it called Chaos Digest?

For that, I can only credit a humorous Twitter interaction with a colleague of mine Ayodeji Adegbenro.

How frequently can I expect a newsletter?

At the moment, the idea is to publish roughly every three days.

However, there will be a big change in 2022: the introduction of paid subscriptions. When that happens, the schedule will change slightly, with paid subscribers getting extra content (historical retrospectives, interviews and book excerpts) exclusively. Non-paying subscribers will, of course, continue to get newsletters semiweekly.
