Yes, from day one I saw more of an sedolf and Paul ince qualities in him, it's a pity Chelsea academy coaches haven't explored/work on that, perhaps cause he isn't an English national, but his qualities are football elite.

Interesting suggestion! But we know Rohr lacks the intelligence to ever try it. Definitely worth a try.

I can't even imagine Rohr doing that, he's not the type of coach that take risk. One way manager that stuck with his same style/tactics often times regardless of the opposition

Fascinating idea. Very bold of the author to even suggest it. That said, this is Gernot Rohr gentlemen, he’s a master at listening to nothing but the voices in his own head. Should he try this? Absolutely. Will he? Ah well..!

Haha. It says a lot that this has been the common refrain to the suggestion. We've all come to understand Rohr's unadventurous ways.

This is interesting. I hope Gernot Rohr tries it.

Unfortunately, based on what we have seen from Mr Rohr historically, he is more likely to rinse and repeat his previous practices. I am genuinely intrigued with this Ola Aina idea but I wouldn’t hold my breath. This makes me think of the Bayern fullback Phillip Lahm, who would at times be placed in a midfield role to great effect.

You're correct: Rohr's antecedents do not suggest he would be open to trying this. Just wanted to put across what I believe is possible. And yes, Lahm did cross my mind while writing.
